“I was looking for a place where I could see and help with direct community supports, and I found that with WHC.”

Prior Experience: Julie studied Medical Office Management at Monterey Peninsula College, after which she worked as a Medical Records Manager for two years. She then transitioned into Behavioral Health where she spent 17 years at New Perspectives Center for Counseling and Therapy. She worked from the ground up and ended her time with the organization as their Director of Operations.

U.S. Traveler: Though Julie was born and raised in Oregon, she spent many years traveling throughout the U.S. as a military spouse. Of the states she lived in during that time, Tennessee was her favorite, recalling, “The Smoky Mountains are to die for in the fall.” However, Oregon has always been the most beautiful to her.

Her Role and Goals: Julie is the new Senior Executive Assistant. She is the backbone that keeps WHC running and on track. It is her goal to get the health council organized and running as efficiently as possible!

Fun Fact: Julie used TikTok videos to help her create her first resume in 17 years and to nail her interview with WHC!

Outside of Work: Julie is a bibliophile. As of June, she has already read 96 books in 2023! Currently, her favorite book is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab.
