FUNDING & GRANTS

Community Grants

The Willamette Health Council is pleased to offer community grants for organizations serving the Marion-Polk region. In accordance with our mission, our grant programs are designed to improve the social determinants of health and equity, and the quality of healthcare in our community. They are also intended to support the 2021-2025 Marion-Polk Community Health Improvement Plan priorities, which include: behavioral bealth supports, housing and substance use.

We use an online grant management system. Organizations submitting a grant application to the Willamette Health Council for the first time are required to create an account within this system. Those who are returning applicants should utilize their organization’s existing account. For assistance, please email info@willamettehealthcouncil.org.

Our grant programs are currently closed for 2022. Please check back in February 2023 for updates.

Community Benefit Initiative

Community Benefit Initiatives (CBI) are evidence-based, community-level interventions that are focused on improving population health and healthcare quality. Through the CBI Grant Program, we award grants for selected projects that meet pertinent Health Related Services requirements and other criteria. The Willamette Health Council’s Community Advisory Council oversees this grant program. Applications are typically accepted once a year.

Community Impact Fund

The Willamette Health Council launched the Community Impact Fund in 2022. This fund is overseen by our Community Impact Committee (CIC), which is made up of a diverse group of community representatives. Seeking to align with the 2021-2025 Marion-Polk Community Health Improvement Plan, the CIC has identified four priority areas for fund investments: behavioral health crisis system, housing, traditional health workers, and support for the Willamette Health Council’s mission. The Community Impact Fund currently supports two grant programs:

Mini Grants

    • For funding requests up to $24,999.
    • Awards are made monthly.

Standard Grants

    • For funding requests between $25,000-$100,000.
    • Awards are made annually.
